ART THERAPY

As a qualified art psychotherapist, I offer the option of incorporating art materials into our work, though it’s by no means a requirement. Some people prefer a more traditional verbal approach, while others find that creative expression—such as drawing or painting—provides a powerful way to access and explore the unconscious mind.

Art Therapy in Chiswick, Islington and Online

No artistic skills are necessary. Art-making can reveal insights that words alone may struggle to convey, helping you process emotions and uncover deeper layers of the self. Whether through verbal dialogue or creative expression, our focus will always be on what works best for you.

Often clients are intrigued to use art material in our sessions - stretching our creative muscles can offer profound access to unconscious material, bringing it into the light.

WHAT OUR BODIES MIGHT BE TELLING US

Our bodies and the way we feel physically can help us understand our emotions and what might need to change. Thinking about posture, pain or physical movement and how these might correlate to your emotions can be helpful in therapy - it can also provide a useful link to what you might do for yourself outside of sessions. Additionally, we can discuss integrating subtle body practices into sessions if you feel that this might be helpful.
